High Society ♕

Hailey, previously known as Hailey’s Comet and now AKA High Society, is a 14.2hh bay arab cross mare that I love more than anything. She was first purchased from a meat auction for $200 to the owner of a stable that’s been operating for 30ish years. She was alwyas ridden in a kimberwick or a pelham - and even then no one could stay on for a full ride. She was insane, and so was sold to the owner of another stable, one that mostly did trail rides, for a grand total of $2.

She was trained up to the point where most people could stay on for a full ride, but you still couldnt get her to trot without her kicking the nearest fence, and there was no such thing as a buck-free canter transition. She was a trail horse for only the most advanced riders only, when my best friend fell in love with her and bought her for 1000$. She put a couple years of training with the mare, and moved her to the barn she’s at now, where I began freeleasing her in April 2011.

Thanks to Susie (my best friend and an amazing rider) and I, Hailey now shows gold dressage shows, up to 2’6 hunters and cleans up in all her flat classes. She is my baby girl and I couldn’t have asked for a better horse to teach me about riding, growth, communication and love.
